Fans Praise Lionel Messi for Attending Coldplay Show with Wife and Not a Mistress

Lionel Messi is widely considered the best football soccer player of recent years and the best footballer of all time. He has been a sports icon and is followed by millions of people for being a soccer prodigy who, to this day, continues to make a difference both for Inter Miami and with the Argentina national team, despite being 38 years old and, to be honest, Messi’s final years as a footballer have undoubtedly been better than many of his fans expected many years ago.

Since 2021, Messi has been able to achieve what he always wanted: bringing glory to his home country, Argentina. He did so in grand fashion, with a World Cup, two Copa América titles, and a Finalissima title. As we know, Messi has already left European football, so he has decided to spend his final years playing for fun in Miami. He currently shares a dressing room with his close friends Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Rodrigo De Paul, who recently joined Inter Miami to accompany his great friend.

Messi is also a very good family man. He’s always let the world know he loves his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and his three children. Recently, Messi and his family were spotted at a Coldplay concert, and in a rather cute moment, Messi and Antonela were caught on the iconic Kiss Cam, where the Coldplay front man, Chris Martin, referred to him as “the GOAT” as they both greeted the crowd and the band.

Of course, with this moment, Coldplay is recovering from the scandal following what happened a few days ago when Coldplay focused on Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, hugging the then head of HR, in what was clearly seen as an affair.

The internet and X-rated users haven’t forgotten the Byron scandal, and after Messi’s appearance on the Kiss Cam, they’ve started to react comically. Some have commented that “at least Lionel Messi went with his own wife” and not with someone else.

There are also those who ironically tell the former Astronomer CEO to take note, since Messi is bringing his wife and not a mistress.

On the other hand, there are those who put the jokes aside and truly enjoyed watching Messi and Antonela on the Kiss Cam. Messi is loved everywhere, and seeing the Argentine national team captain on screen smiling with his wife was something no one expected but that many enjoyed.

And not only did the public love this moment, but vocalist Chris Martin himself did too. Upon noticing the soccer player and his partner on the screen, he greeted him and referred to him as “the number one sports person of all time”. He also dedicated a song to them. A great way to move on from past controversy and move forward.

Definitely a peculiar situation regarding Messi, but one that was mostly taken in good nature.
