Adidas has officially kicked off the 2026 World Cup fever by releasing 22 kits for the upcoming tournament. Countries like Argentina, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Spain, etc. have received gorgeous jerseys that fans are unanimously loving.

Among those countries that received new home kits yesterday is Germany as well.

The German kit was officially launched in a spectacular fashion, featuring the likes of Florian Wirtz of Liverpool, Nick Woltemade of Newcastle, and Serge Gnabry of Bayern Munich sporting the new top.

The Germany 2026 home strip pays tribute to the country’s 1990 and 2024 World Cup-winning shirts as it features a white base with black, red, and yellow accents.

Moreover, there is a tricolor V-design, a special DFB authentic badge that features Adidas’ “Adolf Dassler” logo, and holographic stars that represent Germany’s World Cup titles (54, 74, 90, and 14).

So, how have the fans reacted to Germany’s home kit reveal?

The verdict is in… and the fans absolutely love the kit. Some are even going to the point of calling it a masterpiece.

Absolute masterpiece of a kit. Kudos!

The takes are ranging from “Certified Banger” to “Class” to “Best jersey by a mile”. Some wanted them to be handed the trophy for the jersey alone.

It isn’t just the German fans loving their home kit. Fans from other countries have fallen in love with the German home kit as well, with many of them claiming that they wish to purchase the German kit alongside their own country’s kit.

Scottish fans, in particular, were envious of the German kit as they received a rather plain and simple dark navy kit with minimal patterns.

absolute class the difference between this and the pish that is the Scotland kit is night and day

A dominant presence in the history of the tournament, Germany has reached the final four or better in 17 out of 20 World Cup tournaments. The country has the second-highest percentage of top-8 finishes in the tournament’s history.

Currently 1st in the table in their qualification group, Germany is almost guaranteed to be in the group stages next summer.

After getting eliminated in the group stages of the last two World Cups (2018 and 2022), Germany will be looking to perform significantly better this time around.

With talents like Florian Wirtz, Sane, and Gnabry struggling for form this season, forwards like Musiala and Havertz dealing with long-term injuries, and the pressure of an entire nation on his shoulders, Julian Nagelsmann has a lot on his plate if he wants to emulate Joachim Löw, who won Germany the 2014 World Cup.

With a jersey that gorgeous, they’d better perform well and go far in the tournament.

Adidas has served Germany quite well for the last 70 years. It became the team’s kit manufacturer around 1954, and over the years, Adidas has manufactured some of the most incredible kits in world football. However, the long-standing partnership will be coming to an end in 2027.
