Juventus have officially released their new pre-match shirt for the second phase of the 2025-26 Serie A season and it honors one of their most iconic players – Alessandro Del Piero.

In a video featuring the once iconic #10 Del Piero and Juve’s current #10 Kenan Yildiz, the Italian giant released the Juventus x Del Piero 2026 lineup, which included the pre-match shirt, track pants, sweatshirts, shorts, and more.

Designed by Adidas, the bold and stylish Juventus x ADP10 pre-match shirt features a spectacular Renaissance-inspired graphic in shades of grey and white as it mimics the style of classic frescoes and sketches.

Alongside the bold and stylish design, there is intricate detailing in every inch of the shirt, with the background looking like the inside of Roman Catholic architecture.

The neck features a black stripe, whereas the sleeve features Del Piero’s signature, the “ADP10” logo, and the dates of his debut and last match for Juve.

His official debut was on September 12th, 1993, against Foggia, while his final match for Juventus took place on May 13th, 2012, against Atalanta.

The back of the shirt features the Italian legend’s iconic jersey number “10”.

Arguably, the most incredible detail is the integration of Del Piero’s imagery into the artwork. The middle of the shirt features a statue-like figure of Alessandro Del Piero framed within classic architecture and doing his iconic tongue-out celebration.

To contrast the monochrome artwork, the Juventus crest and Adidas logo have been embraided in a vibrant Yellow/Gold, allowing them to stand out against the complex background.

The design of the new shirt is a direct reference to the nickname “Il Pinturicchio”, given to Del Piero by former Juventus owner Gianni Agnelli. Agnelli famously likened Del Piero’s artistic play style to the legendary Renaissance painter Bernardino di Betto, and called him “Il Pinturicchio” or The Little Painter.

Priced at £61,44/€70,00, the new Juventus x Del Piero pre-match shirt for the 2025-26 season became available for purchase from December 16th, 2025, and the reception has been mixed to put it mildly.

The majority of Juve fans were not big fans of the new design, with many wondering if it was designed using AI (Artificial Intelligence).

@ChrisVibes21: When you ask ChatGPT or Grok to create a new orignal jersey with ADP10 for symbol! Adidas did it! Congrats to the interns! Juventus has no taste and Adidas knows it!

@whtblckpnk: What intern scraped this together using AI?

@SoccerenFTBL: Ten years ago, maybe it was designed by fake factories in China, but today Adidas designs look like theirs. LOL

@MarksJerseys: It’s like they saw a design on DHGate or Vinted and ran with it. A bizarre choice for what could’ve been a special collection given all the iconic shirts Del Piero wore

@Intio17: Juventus and Del Piero deserve more from @adidasfootball in general. Two of this Season’s shirts are hideous, and what should’ve been a beautiful tribute many years in the making (way overdue TBH) looks like AI slop. They hate Juventus with the same passion that we love her. I wish we’d return to Kappa or Lotto.

@pipppojuventino: Looks like counterfeit , absolutely awful, just like everything this club does since Cardiff

@frankie6283: Everything adidas makes for Juve is an abomination

@Blackmamba_1987: What’s more sad to me is seeing Del Piero’s pic printed on a new logo shirt. It hurts. Del Piero and all the old legends shouldn’t be associated with that awful new logo.

@EstebanRam79: I have to give it to Adidas Designer… everytime I say “This is the worst shirt I have ever seen” they make one worst…

However, there were a few far and in between who did like the new Del Piero shirt, praising Adidas for presenting fresh ideas and releasing something different from traditional football jerseys.

@JuveMetal32: I like the jersey shame it does not have the old logo also the timing right before Christmas i have enough to be paying out for

@volomatico2: love it! It has something ”renaissancy”. Bought mine today, without knowing the design

@Granjuve: Won’t do so well yet theyre sold out
