Arsenal, Declan Rice, Football Fashion

Declan Rice’s stock has grown tremendously since his move to Arsenal. The English midfielder has been getting opportunities left, right, and centre to grow on and off the pitch. Already a dominant presence on the pitch, Rice has been dipping his toes in ventures outside the field as well.

Rice is a big fan of fashion and the growing crossovers between football, fashion, music, and culture. He has walked at runway events like the Labrum fashion show, the London Fashion Week, and more to much praise.

Speaking at the launch of Arsenal’s third kit last season, Rice stated how different today’s football culture is regarding clothing and music, and how important it is to take opportunities to grow and evolve with the times.

The growth can be seen in his fashion choices as well, as Declan claims that he has gone from being into big designer brands during his late teens to now enjoying plain white H&M t-shirts, stating how he prefers plainer stuff now. He has also talked about his love for Supreme hoodies and casual wear.

In fact, when asked to summarize his style in fashion, he summed it up in three words: “Subtle, clean, elegant.”

While he loves plain clothing in fashion but his choices in music are anything but plain. Rice enjoys a diverse range of music, including having affinity for the Afrobeats genre.

Rice, who has a whole song named after him courtesy of Odumodublvck’s “Declan Rice”, also loves listening to Tyler ICU, Khalil Harrison, Don-E, Lil Baby, Gunna, Roddy Ricch, and more.

While Rice is not a big movie guy, especially having a strong dislike for scary movies, he does seem to enjoy watching the likes of Denzel Washington and 50 Cent act. Moreover, in an interview with The Phoenix Magazine in 2018, Rice claimed his favorite movie was The English Patient.

He is more of a TV series guy as he loves shows like Starz’s Power and Prison Break, claiming he enjoys the suspense and thrill of those shows.

Talking about fashion and movies, Declan will definitely love the new movie that he’s collaborating on.

In his latest project, Declan Rice has collaborated with the sports comedy-drama film Marty Supreme, as Rice was spotted wearing a Marty Supreme jacket on his social media.

The white jacket features bold branding with “Marty Supreme” written on the front with star graphics below it. Designed specifically for the movie’s promotional rollout, the jacket nods stylistically to retro athletic wear.

Released on December 25th, Marty Supreme is a movie inspired by the life and career of popular American table tennis player Marty Reisman, is headlined and co-produced by Timothee Chalamet. The movie also features stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, the Creator, Odessa A’zion, Abel Ferrara, Kevin O’Leary, and Fran Drescher in supporting roles.

Timothee Chalamet has collaborated with Nahmias, an LA-based clothing brand, to design merch for marketing and promotion. This also includes the jacket that Chalamet has sent to celebs and athletes he deems to be “great”, such as Tom Brady, Michael Phelps, Susan Boyle, Anthony Edwards, and more.

Football stars like Lamine Yamal and Declan Rice have also received the jackets, with the latter seen promoting the movie on his social media.

This comes just days after Chalamet released a remix of “4 Raws” with viral rapper EsdeeKid, a video that Declan Rice reposted on his Instagram.

Now, Rice seems to have received the Chalamet co-sign as the midfielder has posted a photo of himself in the Marty Supreme A24 Classic Warm-up jacket.

The movie has opened to universal acclaim and positive reviews, with a score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Chalamet’s performance has received critical acclaim, with some even calling it a career-defining turn for the talented actor.

While Declan Rice wasn’t directly involved in the movie, it did form a connection and budding friendship with Chalamet. Moreover, it has also given fans hope that they could see the duo linking up and giving fans what they’ve been clamouring for all along.
