Weston McKennie is having an extremely eventful season at Juventus, both on and off the field.
After falling out with former manager Allegri back in 2022, resulting in him leaving the club and joining Leeds on loan, the dynamic midfielder has managed to regain his place and become one of the key players, thanks to his stellar run of performances.
While McKennie has been immense this season, with performances keeping Juventus within touching distance of table toppers Inter in the title race, his future remains uncertain as his contract is expiring in 6 months and he has yet to reach a contract extension.

Amid the uncertainty over his future in Italy, the American ace doesn’t seem to be planning a move away as he has launched a youth mission in Turin.
McKennie, who has been playing since the age of 6, was a massive youth prospect when he broke out at FC Dallas. He later developed at the Schalke academy and made his senior debut at just 18 years of age.
Now, the former youth prospect is looking to give back to the community and help nurture the next generation with McKennie’s Magical Youth Mission.
Started in 2024, McKennie’s Magical Youth Mission is a non-profit organization that aims to bring elements of magic, joy, positivity, healing, and motivation to kids at local orphanages across the country.
Through the foundation, McKennie has been financing the education of hundreds of children and young people. Moreover, he has also been donating school supplies and digital services to help create an innovative educational and recreational space.
His foundation has also collaborated with the sportswear company PUMA, a prominent partner of the foundation’s youth initiatives, as they’ve provided backpacks, mini footballs, and winter hats.
Earlier this week, McKennie hosted the premier launch event of the foundation, where he renewed his commitment for the 2nd consecutive year, collaborating with Salesians for Social APS in Turin.
The event saw him receive a 5-minute standing ovation from hundreds of children who had gathered at the event.

McKennie was joined by Juventus teammates Teun Koopmeiners and Khéphren Thuram at the event.

When taking questions, McKennie also addressed his contract situation and where his future lies, stating that he’s open to staying at Juve, but the negotiations are no longer in his hands.
“I was talking about it with my dad before, and I said, ‘My goodness, I’ve been here for almost six years.'”
“Turin is a huge part of my life, so I want to do everything I can for the people here. Two hundred appearances? It was a huge moment for me, for my family, and for the people in America. For everyone, but especially for me: I’m very happy to have reached this milestone. It’s difficult to be here and make 200 appearances, but I did it, and hopefully there will be another hundred. I hope to stay at Juventus. But I leave it all in my agent’s hands.”
Whether McKennie continues with Juventus or leaves, one thing is for sure, the talented American midfielder has made his mark and set up a great initiative that will see him be remembered fondly for years to come.
