Four English clubs spanning three divisions will descend on the United States this summer for a high-profile pre-season series ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, with fixtures confirmed across Nashville, New York, New Jersey, Tampa and Chicago.
Defending Premier League champions Liverpool anchor the tour, taking on all three opponents across separate cities.
Arne Slot’s side face Sunderland at Nashville’s Geodis Park on July 25, Wrexham at Yankee Stadium in New York on July 29, and Leeds at Soldier Field in Chicago on August 2.

The American market is Liverpool’s number one international retail base, home to over 26 million supporters and 62 Official Supporters Clubs across 32 states.
However, their domestic form has taken a dip at the business end of the season — a 2-1 loss at Wolves on March 3 has put their Champions League qualification hopes under real pressure.
All the matches form part of the Summer Soccer Series, promoted by TEG Sport.

Sunderland, making a remarkable return to the top flight after an eight-year absence, have impressed throughout their debut Premier League season.
The Black Cats beat Leeds 1-0 on March 3 to continue a strong campaign and will also face Leeds on July 30 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey as part of their own North American pre-season schedule.

Leeds United, back in the Premier League for the first time in three years, held Manchester City to a goalless draw on February 28 before falling to Sunderland.
Notably, Daniel Farke’s side have remained unbeaten against Liverpool in the current campaign. The Chicago fixture will mark their first visit to the USA in 29 years.

Wrexham, the Welsh side whose fairy-tale rise has captured global attention, are currently occupying a play-off position in the Championship, pushing for a fourth consecutive promotion. Pre-season tickets go on general sale March 12.
Wrexham AFC manager Phil Parkinson said: “We are all looking forward to returning to the US as part of our pre-season preparations.
“We have had terrific support on our last trips to the States, and we can’t wait to see our supporters out there again, while also playing against three quality opponents in matches that will play a key part in us getting ready for the 2026/27 campaign.”
Wrexham AFC CEO Michael Williamson added: “Wrexham in the USA 2026 takes us back to the United States for the first time since 2024 and in the same year the FIFA World Cup is being held in the States.
“The tour provides a fantastic opportunity for our growing fan base, especially those living in the US, to follow the team in action across three high profile matches.
“It is exciting to be playing in Florida and New York for the first time, and of course to be returning to Philadelphia, our co-chairman Rob Mac’s home city.
“The fact that we are playing Leeds United, Liverpool and Sunderland, all teams currently playing in the Premier League, promises three great occasions on big stages, and we look forward to seeing and meeting our fans there.”

@anfieldgurd Lol we used to play the likes of AC Milan, City, Utd, etc in pre-season. Even they cant be bothereD
@BallerTalk0 Great location but would have preferred some more high profile clubs from Europe or MLS.
@Peter8150139807 The one thing I hate in football is friendly against teams in the same league rather see Liverpool play division 2 team or Mexican

Sunderland fans react to 26/27 pre-season USA tour –
@tomderivan73 Best not defend against Leeds. Let them win 10-0. They might of stopped crying by then…
@Fr3ddieC Heard Newcastle having to settle with a preseason in Skegness due to financial restrictions?
@ianbrown4354 So Liverpool and Sunderland are the two prem teams. And Leeds and Wrexham are the EFL teams for next season downie?
@Kennyw_11 Call me old fashioned but I don’t think any team should play another team in their own league as a pre-season friendly!
Leeds United fans react to 26/27 pre-season USA tour –
@LufcInAHeelHook Going to America to watch a game of football that involves Sunderland?🤢
@holsbolsOO1 I’ll give that Sunderland one a miss. Not paying to watch the ball in play for 20 mins out of the 90.
@halp1995 At least it’s not behind closed doors like the last two years.
@AlexLewis1986 Sad that its not really a tour and playing British teams tbh
@Alaw54rct With a new manager hopefully.
@andy_rossiter76 Wrexham will definitely be a good game
@AndyLufc Let’s concentrate on staying in the Premier League before you start booking your holidays
@andrew5957 That should prepare Leeds for the championship campaign!!
@LPP2014 I don’t even want to watch us playing against Sunderland again in Beeston, never mind New Jersey
@RyneJones7 Unlucky they are so far away but I’ll be interested in watching them on TV still.
