Arsenal’s long-awaited Premier League title parade brought North London to a standstill on Sunday, May 31, as the club celebrated its first league crown since the Invincibles season of 2003-04.
The open-top bus parade began at around 2 pm BST, starting on Holloway Road from Drayton Park before moving through Seven Sisters Road, Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road and Green Lanes, with thousands packed along the route and around the Emirates Stadium.
The scenes were exactly what Arsenal fans had waited 22 years to see.

Red smoke filled the air, supporters climbed onto rooftops and balconies, and the men’s and women’s teams were both part of the celebrations. Estimates varied, with reports putting the crowd anywhere from at least 500,000 to around 800,000, while The Guardian described more than a million people lining parts of north London.
But amid the flags, flares and title chants, one unexpected face sent Football Twitter into meltdown: UTDTrey.

The popular Manchester United fan account, known online as @UTDTrey, was spotted at the Arsenal parade, sparking instant reaction from rival fans.
Trey is one of the most recognisable United accounts on X with 1.7 million followers and instantly recognizable Anthony Martial display photo.
He has built a huge following through ‘engagement-baiting’ posts, banter, trolling rival clubs and regularly commenting on Manchester United’s highs and lows.
Trey’s presence quickly becomes one of the funniest side stories from the parade.
As a Manchester United fan account known for rival banter, especially posts aimed at Arsenal and other clubs, he is never going to blend in quietly at a title celebration in north London.
Once the picture started circulating on X, Arsenal fans immediately turned it into a joke, while rival supporters piled in with their own reactions, especially after seeing the vuvuzela, a horn used in the celebrations in UTDTrey’s hand.
Man came to have a taste of how it feels to win. You can't blame him, he was still very young 13 years ago 😭😭😭

The biggest Man United fan account on here, who relentlessly trolls Arsenal fans, pictured at the Arsenal march with a vuvuzela.

The jokes write themselves. https://t.co/Qhu6oVnruZ
Trey, however, pushed back on the idea that he was celebrating Arsenal’s success. In a post responding to the reaction, he said he was in London and went to the parade because his friends were there, adding clearly: “I WAS NOT CELEBRATING ARSENAL’S TITLE.”
I was in London and simply went to the parade because all my boys went there
— (fan) Trey (@UTDTrey) May 31, 2026
I WAS NOT CELEBRATING ARSENAL’S TITLE.
I have literally been hate watching Arsenal all my life, wtf is this talk everywhere 😭
But Trey’s tweet got hit with a Community Note under his post, pointing out that he had previously announced plans to attend the Arsenal parade and had asked people to link up, contradicting the idea that he only ended up there because of friends.
Guess who’s going to the Arsenal Parade today😂 pic.twitter.com/iI4wMJq0jS

Who’s at the parade, let’s link
— (fan) Trey (@UTDTrey) May 31, 2026
I’M ACTIVE
Instead of laughing it off, many used the moment to question his credibility, accusing him of chasing the atmosphere and attention around a rival club’s success.
The backlash picked up even more once his explanation was posted, especially after the Community Note added a detail that made his defence harder for fans to accept.
UtdTrey going to the Arsenal parade shows why that "Trey", "Janty", "Cagiago" side of Twitter is the worst thing Elon has brought to this app.

How can you claim to be a "United fan" and then go to a rival's parade? Absolutely everything is for engagement.
UtdTrey is the biggest beg on this app. He ain’t a real United fan aswell idc. How u going to an Arsenal parade u weirdo

My man bought flight tickets, and booked an hotel in London to go cheer on The Arsenal trophy parade bus
— WelBeast (@WelBeast) May 31, 2026
When we tell you these are not haters, just fans masked up in jealousy you think it’s a joke. https://t.co/DWYpzPdbGo
As someone who has built his entire platform on hating on rivals, going to Arsenal’s trophy parade contradicted everything he has stood for.
And UTDTrey seems to agree with that opinion, calling it a ‘dumb move’.
I agree, I was just in London with nothing to do but dumb move tbf, I agree

However, fans are not so quick to forgive; the incident quickly became one of the more unexpected talking points from Arsenal’s parade.
It showed how even a brief appearance in the crowd can turn into a full Football Twitter storm when a well-known fan account is involved.
