England are set to take on Norway at the Miami Garden on Saturday in the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter final. The Three Lions will enter the contest as favourites, having remained unbeaten so far.
A potentially decisive aspect of the encounter will be the battle of strikers. England skipper Harry Kane is playing his third World Cup while Erling Haaland made his tournament debut in the ongoing edition.
Despite being at the opposite end of their careers, both men seem to be at the peak of their powers. On one hand, Haaland has 24 goals in 15 appearances for Norway since the start of 2025. On the other hand, Kane’s tally this season for club and country reads an incredulous 73. The duo are also firmly in the World Cup golden boot picture, with seven and six goals respectively.
England full-back Djed Spence alluded to the same in a recent ITV feature meant to preview the quarterfinal clash. And his icy delivery has beautifully set up the stakes for the encounter, while taking the internet by storm.
Spence was being interviewed by Gabriel Clarke, in a room with moody low-key lighting and the spotlight on him, akin to most modern sports documentary interviews. Amidst the cinematic setting, Spence was asked about Haaland’s standout strength and he promptly answered ‘finishing’.
However, when Clarke asked whether he had seen anything like it, the Englishman was locked and ready to go. Spence leant forward in his chair and raised his eyes to meet Clarke’s.
Then, in a quiet but confident voice, the 25-year-old stated, “Yeah. Harry Kane”. Spence accompanied the response with the slightest of nods to add even more drama in an otherwise innocuous to-and-fro.

The internet was quick to latch onto the significance of the moment. With media literacy and access at an all-time high, even the layman could figure out the sheer on-screen appeal of the sequence.
For fans, Spence just provided the coldest intro for TikTok editors to use on any upcoming Harry Kane edit.

The clip has also gone down immensely well with Tottenham Hotspur fans, where Spence currently plies his trade. Kane remains a legend at the club, his 280 goals in 435 appearances still a record that no one has come near.
The only thing that can make the Spence clip catch more fire is if Kane comes up with the goods against Norway. Given his track record of late, it is definitely the most likely of scenarios, to say the least.
