Lamine Yamal’s story began in the busy streets of Esplugues de Llobregat, where he was born on July 13, 2007, to Mounir Nasraoui and Sheila Ebana. As a young boy, he first kicked a ball at the tiny CF La Torreta in nearby Mataró, a club his father drove him to each weekend.
When Lamine burst into the Barcelona first team at 15, his father wore Blaugrana scarves and celebrated each goal as if it were his own.
Yet, yesterday, the internet lit up after a fan dug out a TikTok clip from October 16, 2022 showing Mounir at the Bernabéu in full Real Madrid kit—shirt, shorts and even a Madrid bandana—roaring as Madrid beat Barça 3–1.
It’s real, there’s video, and there are photos of him from before too. On his Instagram account @hustle_hard_304, Mounir has posted images of himself decked out in white, long before his son’s debut.
He’s also shared behind‑the‑scenes photos cheering on Lamine’s Barcelona exploits, proving he simply loves the game no matter the colours. It’s been known for some time that he admires Real Madrid—he’s even flashed old fan‑club badges in candid snaps.

In the end, these revelations change little in the grand scheme of things. Lamine has been a proud Culé since he first pulled on those red‑and‑blue shorts as a child.
A father’s personal favourites rarely define a player’s destiny—a fact seen elsewhere, like with Kylian Mbappé, whose dad once cheered for Barça even as Kylian chose to now play at Real Madrid. What matters most is the bond between Mounir and Lamine, two generations united by love, sacrifice and the beautiful game.
