Liverpool’s 2024/25 Premier League season has been a masterclass in consistency and dominance. The 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham was a serious a statement of intent.
But there’s a section of rival fans who continue to downplay Liverpool’s achievement, claiming that “nobody cares” about their 2024/25 Premier League title win. Check out some of these posts on X below –

Fans of clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Everton, who have their own histories with Liverpool, seem intent on diminishing the Reds’ achievement.
The accusation of PGMOL favoritism taps into a long-standing complaint among football fans about refereeing decisions. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s injury woes have been significant, with the Gunners losing key players like Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Ben White for extended periods.
But the engagement on these posts tells a different story. If nobody cared, why were so many people engaging with these sentiments? The irony can’t be unseen: by announcing their disinterest, rival fans have anctually amplified the conversation around Liverpool’s triumph.
Haaland Proves World Wrong
While rival fans were busy dismissing Liverpool’s title win, one of football’s biggest stars was quietly proving them wrong.
Haaland posted an image on his Snapchat that showed him watching Liverpool’s title-clinching 5-1 victory over Tottenham on a large screen. In contrast, his own team’s FA Cup semi-final match against Nottingham Forest was relegated to a smaller laptop screen.

Haaland captioned the post celebrating Rico Lewis’ goal at Wembley, indicating he was keeping an eye on both games—but the prominence of Liverpool’s match on the big screen was telling.
The Manchester City vs. Nottingham Forest match was a crucial one for the Cityzens. Played at Wembley, this FA Cup semi-final was a make-or-break moment for City in a season where they had already lost the Premier League crown to Liverpool.
City secured a 2-0 victory with goals from Rico Lewis and Josko Gvardiol, advancing to their third consecutive FA Cup final, where they would face Crystal Palace on May 17, 2025. The match was especially significant because it offered Manchester City a chance to salvage silverware in this difficult season.
Haaland’s decision to put the Liverpool game on big screen over his own team’s semi-final directly contradicts the rival fans’ claims of disinterest.
If one of the Premier League’s biggest stars was captivated by Liverpool’s title win, it’s hard to argue that “nobody cares.” Haaland’s actions suggest that the footballing world was, in fact, watching Anfield closely, even as other significant matches unfolded at the same time.
