The Internet Is Done With Wesley Fofana’s Reckless Driving Antics

Chelsea, Wesley Fofana

Chelsea football club’s French defender Wesley Fofana has been putting in some impressive performances on the pitch for his side. However, off the pitch, the 24-year-old has been far from impressive.

Fofana has been involved in high-speed cases previously on several occasions. As a result of the cases charged against him, Fofana is already serving a two-year disqualification from driving.

However, the French International does not seem to be affected by the two-year ban, as he has now been charged with his ninth driving offence. The charges have already made the fans furious, as he is driving on the roads even after his license has been suspended owing to the two-year disqualification. The defender pleaded guilty to his ninth driving offence in the Staines Magistrates’ Court.

He pleaded guilty to driving dangerously along the A3 Esher Bypass in Hook, Surrey on 20th April, 2025. As a result of this, Fofana must now complete 300 hours of unpaid community service on top of the two-year driving ban.

An astonishing footage has been released, recorded by another car driver through their dashcam, where the Chelsea footballer can be seen gunning down the road in his 200,000 million pound white Lamborghini Super SUV. In the footage, the player can be seen thundering past a black vehicle before rushing towards another, then slamming his brakes hard, swirling around the driver, and again whizzing his car through the gaps that had opened up.

This type of rash and irresponsible behaviour on his part has attracted the anger of many fans on social media, especially since the player is considered to be a role model for many of the younger population.

Fans have called for stricter disciplinary measures to be taken against him. Fans have called out names and given him taglines, like calling him ‘a complete idiot’ and ‘the Premier League’s worst driver’.

According to DailyMail, the District Magistrates’ Court Judge Julie Cooper told the player ‘’You obviously realise there are a lot of young people who look up to you and they would like to be like you and follow you. That’s part of the whole gig.

‘However, they will not be able to afford these expensive cars, with all their additions that keep them safe, and you could have some 17-year-old, who has just passed their test, who thinks they can copy you.  ‘They will not be able to handle their car and do some ridiculous driving manoeuvre, and they are dead. You need to be much more responsible about your behaviour.’’

Further, as per DailyMail, the prosecutor Rabbia Khan told the court it was 4.50 pm on 20th April when the motorist captured Fofana on his dashcam.

On top of all of this, what has irked the fans all over social media is how Wesley Fofana has a smirk on his face and is seen laughing while leaving the court and avoiding jail only because of his money and fame as a famous footballer at a top club.
