Barcelona Dressing Room Video Shows Marcus Rashford Getting Hero Treatment

Barcelona, Manchester United, Marcus Rashford

Any footballer would like to have the life Marcus Rashford is living right now. After a promising career at United, now on loan in Barcelona, the English forward might be permanently settling in Spain for a while.

Marcus Rashford’s time at Manchester United cannot be merely summarised as a failure.

He was part of the United squad that won the Europa League in 2017 and had won two FA Cups with the club. He also has two EFL Cups to his name during his tenure at United.

But after consecutive disappointments, his time at United seemed to have ended. Barcelona, who could not cope up with injuries with a shortage of backup players in the previous season, came calling for the Englishman, due to his versatality to play on either side of the wings and as the striker. Also due to their financial constraints, their only possible outcome was to bring Rashford on a season long loan. To play for a club of the stature of Barcelona, with promised playing time and Champions League regularity, Rashford had no hesitation to join and even agreed to take a massive paycut to help the deal go through. He joined the club in July 2025.

Since his arrival, Rashford has lived up to his expectations. In 27 games this season, Rashford has contributed 7 goals and 11 assists, exactly what Barcelona wanted from him during Raphinha’s absence. His brace against Newcastle was the talk of the town at that time, as how a written off Rashford, came back to his best under right environment.

On Sunday Night, in his second ever El Clasico, Rashford enjoyed a longing success, winning his first ever silverware in Blaugrana Colours. The Spanish Club, rose victorious against their arch Rivals, Real Madrid, winning consecutive SuperCopa under Hansi Flick, in a heated 3-2 thriller. Raphinha starred with 2 goals and was adjudged the player of the match.

After a tough phase in his career at England, Rashford is back to his best in his playing as well as the surrounding. He was seen happily enjoying with teammates who had helped him settle easily at a new country.

When a scantily clad Marcus Rashford entered the dressing room after the game, his teammates chanted his name, applauding him for his first trophy in Spain. Alejandro Balde went Live on Instagram, streaming the dressing room celebrations.

Interestingly, as a matter of fact, Kylian Mbappe, since his historic arrival in summer of 2024, is yet to win a domestic trophy with Real Madrid. However, he was part of the Super Cup victory in his debut match, the only silverware during his time at Real Madrid.

Rashford’s Man United teammates, Harry Maguire, Zirkzee and Bruno Fernandes, congratulated on his achievement.

Rashford was very kind to console the Real Madrid players, after a tense game of emotional involvement. Fans, jokingly called him out not to do that, as it is just as tense it is between the clubs off the field, emphasizing the magnitude of the historic rivalry.

Ironic to the occasion, Rashford won his first trophy in Spain on the same day Manchester United were knocked out of FA Cup.

It is understood that Barcelona are contended with Rashford’s influence on the pitch and the versatality he brings into play and are planning to make him a Barcelona player permanently, by exercising the 26 million buy option.

Players like Rashford are examples of good players wasting their potential at toxic environments. When they are put under the right guidance and kind backing, sky is the limit for them.
