Tuesday was a tough day for Manchester City fans as they lost the second leg of the Champions League 2-1 to Real Madrid at the Etihad.

Manchester City lost the tie 5-1 on aggregate but the loss wasn’t the only thing in the news. Many football fans especially those that take an interest in football fashion as well noticed Pep Guardiola’s outfit on the sideline.

Pep’s outfit included a Flannel Shirt by the brand Our Legacy, pleated plants and Ox-Blood boots. The fit was appreciated so much that even Versus chose to do a piece on it on their instagram page.

“Sound the alarm. The GOAT is back with some Touchline Drip to remind you why he’s No.1. They’re asking him how many UCLs he’s got but there’s only one Legacy you should be worried about rn. Rocking the best in Swedish design and we ain’t talking BILLY Bookcases. He’s heard we’re doing shirts this year and moved quick to collar the moodboard market. It’s not just the flannel either. You see the pleats? The ox-blood boots? This man is operating on a different level. Saw the girlies doing the shuffle pose trend and jumped right on. Bounced out the champo but gone straight into IG dumps everywhere. Chill guy Pep in full effect. Might be on his farewell tour but we’re not ready to say goodbye to this TD Master just yet. Enjoy him while you can. This is an all-time Dripsman. The league will be back to all-white McQueens again before you know it.”

Versus weren’t the only ones who noticed the outfit however. One fan even noted that the outfit was similar to Lionel Messi’s outfit on the day he visited the Camp Nou during its renovation.

Comparisons were also made with Kevin James from The King of Queens TV series –

One fan wrote – ‘Pep looking like he’s showing off how much weight he’s lost in one of the shirts he had to buy from Jacamo’.

While Koundenation on X knew Man City were doomed the moment Pep decided to rock the unusual flannel shirt for the big occasion – ‘I knew this tie was over when I saw Pep’s outfit’.

As far as price is concerned, the exact flannel shirt Pep wore cost about 290 Euros –

City may be out of Europe, but Pep remains the talk of the town, even if its fans debating his choice of apparel.
