Saint West Recreates Kanye Inspired Smile-Then-Sad Face

Saint West Recreates Kanye Inspired Smile-Then-Sad Face

Kim Kardashian has been touring Europe with her son Saint West since last week and as part of the experience, they’ve made sure to check out the Footy.

Going by reports, the reason behind Kim’s trip is to shoot a documentary, but she’s also been giving her son unforgettable moments along the way.

It all began with a trip to the Emirates for Arsenal’s Europa League tie against Sporting.

The 42-year-old and her son watched on from the director’s box as the Gunners were dumped out of Europe after a penalty shootout.

Saint was spotted sporting an Arsenal top throughout the game, clearly indicating that the little boy is a Gooner.

The theory was further fueled by his post-match Facetime interaction with Bukayo Saka, who happens to be his favorite player.

After a memorable visit to North London, the Kardashians jetted off to Paris to catch a glimpse of the GOAT at Parc Des Princes.

They marked their presence at PSG’s league game against Rennes and even had interactions with the side’s biggest stars.

Aside from getting a wave from Messi, Saint met Kylian Mbappe, he also Facetimed the currently-injured Neymar.

Their attendance received plenty of media coverage, and that’s not counting the numerous stories Kim posted on her Instagram.

Before kickoff, PSG’s media team captured a quick video of the mother-son pair, one which fans online found to be particularly interesting.

How Saint brought a Kanye West meme to life

The video displays Saint and Kim posing for a photo, with the 7-year-old beaming widely for the camera in the front.

Within a few seconds, his gaze shifts towards the side and his smile quickly disappears, as he realizes that there’s another camera pinned on him.

Fans online instantly likened his start-and-stop grin to that of his father Kanye West

The American rapper is quite the personality, and his antics make him an obvious subject of interest for the media.

But Ye is far from a fan, as he has shown on numerous occasions by feigning a smile before withdrawing it immediately, which acts as a sincere ‘piss off’.

By the looks of it, Saint has picked up on his father’s technique, or perhaps he has been media trained by Kanye himself. And in that case, he’s done a solid job.

The rapper himself has taken an interest in Football in the past, he famously shouted out Lionel Messi in the track ‘Off the grid’. And he also rented out a room at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of MLS outfit Atlanta United.

As for Saint’s Football endeavor, it was undoubtedly a memorable one, but it provided further evidence for the ‘Kardashian Curse’.

Arsenal crashed out of Europe as PSG lost 2-0 to Rennes, both on the same day as the Kardashian’s visit. Coincidence? We’ll leave that up to you.
