Abdukodir Khikmatzhon ugli Khusanov, or simply Abdukodir Khusanov, born on February 29, 2024, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is currently one of the central defenders of the English club Manchester City, which makes him the first Uzbek footballer to play in the English Premier League in history. He joined the team at the beginning of the year from the French club Lens, where his good performances earned him a move to a much bigger team where he can become one of the best defenders in the world. And with Pep Guardiola as coach, it’s very likely that his level will increase every day.
Since joining the team, he has played little, but his performance has improved over time. His debut match was a bit tough, as he led the opposing team, Chelsea FC, to score, but he improved, and Manchester City won 3-1, despite being substituted in the 54th minute. During his first season, Khusanov only appeared 10 times in all competitions. But despite this, Khusanov has shown that he wants to become a legend at the club and that he has appreciated Manchester City’s history from a young age. And he recently demonstrated it on social media.
The Uzbek defender recently shared a photo on social media showing himself wearing a commemorative shirt from the 2010-2011 FA Cup victory with David Silva‘s name on the back. Let’s remember that David Silva is one of the most important footballers in the history of Manchester City and also the Premier League. In the following tweet, we can see Khusanov sitting at his desk checking his cell phone while wearing a commemorative Manchester City shirt with the Spanish player’s name on the back and the number 21.

This shirt represents a very important victory since this FA Cup would be the first major trophy that Manchester City would win since the League Cup in 1976. Their first major trophy in 35 years. In the next tweet, we can watch Toure Yaya’s goal in that FA Cup final and captain Carlos Tevez lifting the trophy.

Despite the great photo taken of Khusanov, many fans have noticed the energy drinks next to the defender, which are called “AK45.” Well, this drink is his own. That’s right, Khusanov has his own line of drinks, and they are named almost like an assault rifle. The drink’s name is based on his initials “A” and “K” and his Manchester City jersey number, 45. A lot of people didn’t know he had his own line of drinks, which adds to this picture.

Didn’t know he had a drink branded with his initials “AK45” We’re moving BIG, son. pic.twitter.com/NRP3junbxw
Although others think it was a bit silly to promote his drinks this way, claiming that he put his drinks on the side of this picture which was bound to cause a bit of a buzz online.
Bro thinks he's slick trying to advertise his AK45 drinks 😅

Be that as it may, it is a nice nod to one of Manchester City’s modern icons.
