In a World Cup year, it seems like all is not well for USMNT star Christian Pulisic. He is going through a rough patch professionally and his personal life is being questioned as well. To make things worse, his ex-girlfriend has allegedly exposed him as well.
Pulisic had started the season well, but in 2026, has now gone 15 games without a goal for club and country. He provided only one assist which is his only goal contribution this calendar year just prior to the international break.
Pulisic drew blank against Portugal and Belgium during the last month’s friendlies both of which USMNT lost by 2-0 and 5-2 respectively. He started both the games but not only did he fail to score or assist, he failed to have an impact on the overall game as well.
The USMNT are in a tough group in the World Cup, so undoubtedly Pulisic needs to put his socks up, so that USMNT can move past the group stage.
However, his dip in form might be down to fitness issues, as AC Milan’s manager Massimiliano Allegri suggested that the American suffered minor flexor issues. That problem seems to be not fully gone and he still looks a bit rusty on the pitch.
The goal drought and dip in form coincides with his controversies outside the pitch as well involving Alexa Melton, a professional golfer.
Pulisic had a relationship with Alexa which was confirmed last summer. The former USC golfer revealed in an interview that the USMNT star slid into her dm’s, but back then she was unaware of who Pulisic was. However, things moved ahead and they started dating. But within a year, things seem to get bitter with rumors of their alleged break up.
Melton did not clearly state that Pulisic cheated on her but she recently posted a comment on her social media which suggests the USMNT star might have been unfaithful towards her.
In the comment section of a recent photo of hers, a person teasing Pulisic wrote, ‘This generational fumble will studied for years to come.’ To which Melton replied, ‘Mans was on Raya before it even ended.’ She continued claiming the man, ‘not fearing God enough’.

For those unversed, Raya is a dating app for celebrities. Melton suggested that Pulisic rushed to create an account on that dating app even before their relationship formally ended. She even teased to post his Raya profile. However the netizens took the task on themselves to discover it.
This is not the first time Pulisic is involved in a controversy though. Last year the USMNT forward was also involved in a controversy which garnered much public attention. Playing in the CONCACAF Nations League, Pulisic scored a goal against Jamaica and followed it up with a Trump dance celebration near the corner flag.
That incident has not fully been erased from the public memory and on top of that this scandal has seen him once again catch the headlines for all the wrong reasons. But AC Milan and USMNT fans would hope Pulisic would soon keep all of this behind, get back to his full fitness and start being decisive again on the pitch.
