Randal Kolo Muani‘s permanent return to Juventus has reopened old frustrations among Tottenham Hotspur supporters, with the Serie A club’s official welcome-back video quickly becoming the center of discussion on X.
The footage shows the French forward arriving for his medical before reuniting with teammates at Juventus‘ training centre. He is smiling throughout, but the moment that has drawn the most attention is his reunion with Weston McKennie. The pair share a long embrace before Kolo Muani continues around the room greeting teammates with hugs, handshakes and laughs as Juventus captioned the video:

For Tottenham supporters, however, the reaction of frustration has gone beyond the video itself. As a Spurs fan even commenting that,
I’m just relieved he will never play for us again.
The footage has become a reminder of how different Kolo Muani looked during his loan spell in north London. Across a season in which Spurs struggled from start to finish, the striker rarely looked comfortable or influential.
Kolo Muani joined from Paris Saint-Germain on loan for the 2025-26 season, but he struggled to make an impact. He scored just one goal in 30 Premier League appearances as Spurs had one of their worst seasons in recent memory, finishing 17th in the table.
Just as frustrating for many supporters was the feeling that he never established the connection with the team that was expected from a player brought in to strengthen the attack.
The permanent transfer also underlines how differently the striker is viewed in Italy. Juventus were willing to commit up to €50 million transfer fee after witnessing him score 10 goals during his previous spell in Turin, despite his difficult season in England. That suggests the Italian club believed his struggles at Tottenham were more about circumstance than ability.
For Spurs supporters, though, the transfer represents closure rather than regret. His loan failed to provide the goals or attacking presence the club needed during one of the worst Premier League campaigns in recent memory.
That contrast is why the Juventus footage has elicited such strong reactions among Spurs fanbases.

The reaction to the video is therefore less about resentment towards Kolo Muani and more about what his spell came to represent, a move that never suited either the player or the club.
Thus, Juventus has signed the 27-year-old on a permanent contract worth up to €50 million (£43 million), which includes an initial €38 million fee and an additional €12 million in performance-related bonuses to PSG.

Kolo Muani thrived during his first spell at Juventus, scoring ten goals on loan, and many believe Serie A is a better fit for his playing style. Tottenham, meanwhile, can now devote their full attention to rebuilding their attack for the new season.
With the transfer completed, Tottenham can finally start over by concentrating an investment in the attack for upcoming season.
