Liverpool’s form this season was always going to be under the microscope following their £450 million summer transfer window.
Early inconsistencies across competitions, highlighted by a run of nine losses in 12 games, raised questions, but the defending champions appear to be finding their rhythm again after a convincing 4–1 win over Newcastle United.
The result also came days after Liverpool secured automatic qualification to the round of 16.
Amid the on-field momentum, attention quickly shifted when leaked images of Liverpool kits for the 26/27 season began circulating on social media.
The leaks originated from X user fumlerRawk, a figure well known for his accuracy in predicting kit designs as well as actively dispelling fake rumours.
For the 26/27 season, fumlerRawk had already revealed the colour palettes back in September 2025.
However, detailed mockups of the kits only surfaced this week –

There are a few details I forgot in the mockups: the Home and Third have wider stripes, and the Third should have more silver-like details instead of white. Other than that, I’m pretty sure this is very close. pic.twitter.com/ea6QTrTeLe
The home kit is, unsurprisingly, red with Adidas’s trademark white shoulder stripes.
The unique addition this time is a scattered white pattern across the red base.
This immediately drew comparison to the iconic retro kits of the Candy-sponsored era.

The away kit provides a contrasting design, with a white base and red shoulder stripes.
A subtle greyish pattern also runs across the shirt, while stopping short of the sleeves.
However, it’s the third kit that has caused debate among the supporters.
“Why do they have a red third kit when their home kit is obviously red?”, asked one user.
The jersey features maroon/dark red as the primary colour and black asymmetrical checks resembling waving flags as the secondary design.

Further confusion arose when alternative mockups began circulating online.
An all-black third kit with chessboard-style grey checks pattern was gaining popularity, but it was flagged as a misinterpretation of earlier palette leaks by fumlerRawk.
The leaker fumlerRawk later clarified that the colour is in fact maroon, not red.
.. and the red is, quite frankly, maroon — not red.

While leaked kits should be treated with caution, fumlerRawk’s track record suggests that these designs are likely to be close to Liverpool’s 26/27 kits.
It remains to be seen whether the third kit will be better received when the official versions are released.
