Arsenal fans’ dislike for all things Tottenham was on full display after Aaron Ramsey’s goal

When it comes to dispute, there are two ways to go about it – All or Nothing.

Take the example of Hans Island, which is basically a large rock located in a wide channel of water separating Canada and Denmark. The island is contested over in a manner never seen before in terms of disputed territories. It all started when Canada left a bottle of Canadian Whiskey on the island and declared the territory. Denmark, in turn, responded by leaving a bottle a Peach Schnapps on the island and declaring the territory Danish. This is an example of the “Nothing” approach.

Exhibit B: The North London Derby – the hotly contested derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The North London Derby has an almost Dennis-the-Menace kind of notoriety associated with it. The fixture has never been known to roll the Hans Island way, though.

Here is an example of the “All” approach –

As Aaron Ramsey scored his final derby goal for Arsenal in Saturday’s North London Derby at Wembley, the crowd erupted in a furor.

Arsenal fans went completely berserk as the Welshman breezed through the Spurs defense and rounded off Hugo Lloris to put the Gunners up in the 16th minute.

It was a moment that seemed to reverberate through the crowd of Arsenal fans. Pick any person from the sea of Arsenal supporters at that moment and anyone watching the derby for the first time would be forgiven if they thought that the place looked less like Wembley stadium and more like a warzone.

Arsenal fans’ disdain for the Lilywhites was evident as the sea of supporters rose with an adrenaline rush to jeer and throw jibes at the Spurs supporters.

The drama didn’t end there, however. Hugo Lloris turned savior in the dying minutes of the game as he saved a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang penalty.

The draw left Tottenham in 3rd place, effectively ending their hopes of a title challenge, but did provide some respite to Mauricio Pochettino’s men following two successive away defeats at Burnley and Chelsea.

Kiko Casilla sends emphatic message to Leeds United fans after West Brom win

Leeds United bounced back from a narrow defeat against QPR in style as they smashed West Brom 4-0 to maintain pressure on league leaders Norwich City.

It took the Whites only seventeen seconds to open the scoring as Spaniard Pablo Hernandez blasted one in the top corner from outside the penalty box.

They could have easily doubled their lead within a few minutes after some sublime passing football but Tyler Roberts’ effort went straight to the West Brom Albion keeper.

They eventually struck the second of the night with Patrick Bamford who scored in both halves to increase the lead to three goals to nil.

Macedonian international Ezgjan Alioski put the final nail in the coffin as he tapped a Jamie Shackleton cross home.

With this vital win, Leeds are now placed second on the table, only two points behind league leaders Norwich City.

And Leeds’ January signing Kiko Casilla, who mostly played the part of a spectator against West Brom, took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate the team and the supporters.

Have a look at it here.

It was the first clean sheet for the ex-Real Madrid superstar in Leeds colours in what was his third appearance for the Whites.

Casilla, who has won as many as three Champions Leagues with Real Madrid, decided to make the switch when the Spanish side swooped up Belgian international Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea this summer.

Leeds United still have a long way to go before securing the automatic qualification spot for the Premier League next season and as the Catalonian shot-stopper pointed out, they’ll need similar performances in the weeks to come to make the dream come true.

Photo: The look of utter disbelief on Harry Winks’ face after Kieran Trippier’s moment of madness against Chelsea

It was a horrible night for Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs as they went down 2-0 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge midweek .

The London derby was poised to be a cracker as stakes were high for both sides.

Chelsea started the game with their regular number one Kepa Arrizabalaga on the bench as Argentine international Willy Caballero replaced him following his ‘miscommunication’ with Maurizio Sarri during the Carabao Cup final.

The match started in a very even manner with both sides showing discipline at the back.

It was Chelsea who created the first goalscoring opportunity through Higuain but his shot could only manage to rattle the bar.

On the other end of the pitch, Harry Winks managed to get a thunderous strike away from a distance but again it was the woodwork which prevented the first goal of the match.

Finally, on the 57th minute, Chelsea managed to break the deadlock as Pedro dribbled past Toby Alderweireld with ease before slotting it home by nutmegging Lloris.

It was not exactly the best effort from the Frenchman as he allowed it to go through his legs in the near post from a rather tight angle.

And on the 84th minute, the night got even worse for the World Cup winner.

The Frenchman came rushing down from his goal to grab a harmless-looking long ball but appeared to have failed to call for it.

Unaware of his goalkeeper’s location, Tottenham right-back Trippier, under pressure from onrushing Willian, decided to pass it back to his goalkeeper who was far from where he expected him to be.

The ball slowly rolled past the Frenchman into the open goal much to the delight of Chelsea who were subject to spells of intense pressure from Spurs following Pedro’s goal.

Tottenham players and supporters gasped at this howler with absolute disbelief and a brilliant snap from one of the cameramen on the field managed to capture it with perfection.

In the image, Harry Winks can be seen to hold is head in total shock and appears to be simply unable to believe what was happening.

Coaching staff’s reaction before James Garner made his debut is what Man Utd is all about

Manchester United’s impressive unbeaten domestic run continued when they thrashed Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park mid week.

Belgian international Romelu Lukaku scored a brace and Ashley Young struck a goal towards the end of the game to seal the victory for the Red Devils.

Manchester United are currently in the 5th spot in the Premier League table and have a real shot at securing a Champions League spot.

In this very comfortable night for the Manchester side, youngster James Garner made his senior team debut and became the 230th academy graduate to make it to the top.

The seventeen-year-old performed well in the youth ranks of United and has also represented the England national team in various youth competitions.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is extremely pleased with how the teenager is developing and even compared him with United Legend Michael Carrick.

Garner, however, did not feature in the first team but came on as a last minute substitute replacing Brazilian midfielder Fred.

But as the youngster was getting ready to come off the bench the United coaching staff did something that truly reflected what the Manchester side is all about.

Many of the coaching staff including Michael Carrick were caught on camera going out of the way to congratulate and inspire the young player as he approached the sideline

A Tottenham fan might have nailed their best Premier League XI with this lineup

Tottenham Hotspur lost some major ground in the title race after suffering a shock 2-1 loss to Burnley away from home on Saturday.

Harry Kane’s return was expected to spruce up a late push for the title but unfortunately the Englishman’s equalizer in the 65th minute proved to be ultimately futile when Ashley Barnes tapped in Burnley’s winner late on.

The fixture took a controversial turn when Mauricio Pochettino angrily confronted referee Mike Dean following the full-time whistle but apologized for his behavior in a recent presser and accepted a charge from the FA for improper conduct yesterday.

The Argentine also admitted that Spurs are a good 5-10 years away from being regarded as genuine title contenders based on the way they collapsed at Turf Moor.

But while this current crop of young Spurs stars may lack the experience to mount a sustained title charge, a fan has posted his ultimate Spurs XI lineup on Twitter which should give any European team a run for their money.

The team looks more like the stuff of dreams featuring most of the most talented players to have donned the famous white jersey.

Using a 3-4-3 formation to give a perfect blend of attack and defense, the fantasy line-up sees the likes of Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and club legend Teddy Sheringham feature in a deadly attacking trio while the back looks pretty secure in the hands of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Ledley King.

With full-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose supporting the skill sets of a Modric-Carrick axis in midfield, the XI looks pretty daunting on paper.

While some sections of Spurs fans felt that the XI was spot on, others disagreed and felt that the likes of Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Rafael van der Vaart should have made the line-up as well.

What do you think Spurs fans ? Have your say below :

These 7 tweets after Burnley win shows how highly Newcastle United fans rate Florian Lejeune

An inspired Newcastle United carried on their impressive run of form as they beat Burnley 2-0 at St. James’ Park on Tuesday night.

Matt Ritchie and Isaac Hayden put on a brilliant display as two first-half strikes from Schar and Longstaff proved to be enough for the home side to seal a comfortable victory.

It was the fourth victory for the Magpies in the last six matches including the stunning victory over defending champions Manchester City.

During this stretch, the North East side have also accumulated the highest number of points among all the Premier League clubs, as pointed out by a Reddit user.

Top of the form table! from NUFC

They were struggling in the relegation zone just a few matches ago and this sudden yet amazing turn of form has form has left their fanbase in ecstasy.

And many of them singled out Frenchman Florian Lejeune as the key man behind this amazing turnaround.

The 27-year old suffered an injury during the pre-season which sidelined him for the first half of the season but he was quickly incorporated in the first team following his return in early January.

His inclusion in Rafa Benitez’s three-man defence has added a lot of calmness at the back and in the last six league games, they have conceded only thrice which prompted some of the fans to go as far as claiming it to be their best defence in the recent past.

His presence has also helped his fellow center-backs Jamal Lascelles and Fabian Schar who seemed to be struggling in the first half of the season, as a dedicated supporter pointed out.

The Frenchman is also very comfortable with the ball in his feet and from time to time his excellent technique has helped Newcastle to play the ball out very quickly from the back.

And once again the fans were prompt to recognize it.

In fact, his recent performances were so good that some of the fans have even drawn a comparison with Liverpool’s towering Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk.

The Frenchman is certainly proving himself to be one of the most promising defenders in the Premier League at this moment and while drawing a comparison with someone like Van Dijk may sound a bit over the top, it can be said with certainty that his recent performances were almost good enough to earn him a place in any of the top six clubs, as a Twitter user pointed out.

(Video) Drop everything and watch this goal from Celtic Reserves against Kilmarnock

Celtic Reserves followed the footsteps of the senior side as they beat Kilmarnock reserves by exactly the same margin recently.

Celtic were clearly the dominant side in the game as they created a number of opportunities and steadily warded off spells of pressure from the Kilmarnock.

All eyes were on the sixteen-year-old wonderkid Karamoko Dembele who had a pretty decent game but his spotlight was hogged by another sixteen-year-old Armstrong Oko-Flex who scored the decisive goal.

It all started on the right flank with Dembele who showed really good close control and strength before passing the ball to his captain Kerr McInroy.

The 18-year old Scot did not hesitate much before sending a brilliant long ball in-behind the Kilmarnock defence when he spotted a superb diagonal run by Oko-Flex.

The former Arsenal youngster made no mistakes and calmly headed it home past the opposition keeper.

Have a look at this brilliant team move around the 01.28 mark in the video below –

How famous footballers like to spend their free time

Just like the rest of us, famous footballers need a break from the demands of their jobs, a way to unwind and de-stress. When they are not at football practice or a big match, they have a wide range of hobbies that they like to pursue in their free time. Below are a few of the ways that many famous footballers like to spend their time when they’re not on the field or at practice.

Video Games

Like many athletes, footballers love to play video games or online games in their spare time, whether for relaxation, excitement, or to indulge their competitive side. While some (like Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil) like to play the massively popular Fortnite, a FIFA game, or Championship Manager, some enjoy playing other types of football-related games. For example, many casino games have incorporated elements of football into their gameplay, such as managerial role play and sports betting, as is the case with Live Football Studio.

One of the top Arsenal players, Alex Lacazette, loves to play FIFA with his friends while he is relaxing after a big game. Although it may seem contradictory that a famous footballer would want to play virtual games of football after a long game of playing football in real life, many players love to do this.

Board Games

Many professional athletes like to go home after a long day of football to relax with their friends or family and play a few board games. Whether they’re playing a relaxing game of Monopoly or a riveting game of Risk, it can be nice for some famous footballers to play a game of strategy to keep their mind sharp while they are off the field.

One of the famous footballers, Axel Tuanzebe, who plays for Manchester United, actually became a world record holder for the board game of Hungry Hippos. Tuanzebe set a world record for the fastest time of clearing a game of Hungry Hippos with a time of 17.36 seconds. The entire Manchester United team was playing Hungry Hippos during a trip to the United States in the summer of 2018 and Tuanzebe just happened to be faster at the game than the rest of his teammates. Not bad!

Raising Chickens

Farm work is a great way for some footballers to get out of their head and take a break from the stress of thinking about the game during their free time. Although raising chickens is not a hobby for everyone to do in their spare time, the famous footballer Joe Allen and his wife save hens. Recently, Allen even appeared on the front cover of Chicken & Egg magazine for this. They currently take care of over a dozen chickens, and he finds the task to be quite relaxing.

Famous footballer Moritz Volz admitted that he would bake cakes before any stressful match. He said that before playing Arsenal or Manchester United he would make cakes with bananas and green tea that had a biscuit-like texture. However, Volz would make heavier cakes when playing against rugged teams like the Blackburn Rovers. For matches like that, he would make a carrot cake with some nuts as a topping.

These are just a few of the many things that footballers do when they’re not at a press event, practicing, or at a match. With so many famous footballers these days — and ways like Instagram and online articles that allow us to keep up with their hobbies and interests — there are a wide range of ways that they like to spend their free time. While they take a break from the game, many of these athletes spend their downtime just like the rest of us — kicking back with a video game, spending time with friends and family, or even baking.

Sergio Aguero gave up on life after attempting to get the ball from Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has easily been one of the best players in England for some time now and hence it’s no surprise to see reports linking the Belgian to top clubs across Europe surface each summer.

This year is no different and several sources have all but confirmed that Real Madrid will finally launch a firm offer to take the Belgian to the Santiago Bernabeu to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

While the rumours mill is growing louder each passing day, Hazard has done well to keep himself focused on the pitch and put in another resolute display against the Citizens during their Carabao Cup final showdown last Sunday.

While the Blues did well to battle it out with the Champions over the course of the 120 minutes, they were ultimately beaten 4-3 on penalties in a match that was largely overshadowed by the “miscommunication” between Kepa Arrizabalaga and Maurizio Sarri.

With so many lethal goal scorers on both sides, most fans were not expecting the lack of goals at Wembley but Blues fans seem to love this bit of magic produced by Hazard during the match.

The 28-year-old is not easy to stop once he gets going and Sergio Aguero found that out the hard way when he tried getting in his way during the game.

Hazard looked pretty unfazed when closed down by the Argentine striker and the City man had no option but to try drag him down when it looked like he would get away.

By the end, Aguero almost seems to have given up on stopping the winger and the distraught is clearly visible from his body language.

A clip of the wonderful bit of skill by the Belgian has been pretty popular with the Chelsea supporters and has garnered more than 9000 likes since it was posted two days back

Kieran Tierney’s 4-word summary of Ewan Henderson’s performance was pure ‘class’

Celtic are not showing any signs of slowing down as they push towards yet another league title and restored their 8 point lead at the top with a 4-1 win over Motherwell at home.

The Hoops had already established a comfortable 2-0 cushion going into the break but tempers flared in the second half when Gboly Ariyibi scored for the visitors when Celtic were expecting the ball to be returned to them after a Ryan Christie injury.

Motherwell tried to turn the tie around after the 51st minute strike but late goals from Edouard and Oli Burke sealed all points for the home side.

The game also marked the first senior start for 18-year-old Ewan Henderson.

Sitting in front of the defense, the young Scot covered every blade of grass and made some eye-catching passes moving forward and assisted Edouard for his first goal with a pinpoint cross.

Henderson clearly made an impression at Celtic Park on his full debut and is already earmarked as one of the most exciting talents emerging from Scotland.

His performance seemed to have impressed teammate Kieran Tierney as well who gave a cheeky 4-word summary about his debut after the game.

The brilliant comment has obviously gone down well with fans, who were singing praises of both the youngsters on Twitter following the game.

Check out the ‘class’ moment from the post match interview below –

The stunning Vinicius touch going viral among Real Madrid fans after Levante game

A gritty Levante side gave their illustrious opponents a run for their money as they went down 1-2 at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia yesterday.

Real Madrid were back in La Liga action following a shock defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu against Girona and were expected to show a response.

Madrid did start the game well but an inspired Levante side quickly came back into the game and looked dangerous from time to time.

Had their strikers managed to show a bit more composure in front of goal, the result could have been very different.

Real Madrid once again looked lost of ideas and creativity and needed two penalty decisions ( with the latter one being highly controversial ) to seal the match.

But even on this frustrating day, Balon d’Or Luca Modric and Brazilian starlet Vinicius Junior were the silver linings for Solari.

While Modric dominated the midfield while in possession, Vinicius was once again instrumental down the left-hand side.

The 18-year-old was not afraid to run at the Levante defence and looked dangerous whenever he got the ball.

During the first half, he managed to set up Benzema once with a lovely ground cross which the Frenchman failed to control and could have got himself in the scoresheet when he drove right into the Levante defence on another occasion.

The teenager also worked tirelessly in defence, helping Regulion out on a number of occasions.

And this has been the case in almost every game since the Argentine coach decided to give him first-team minutes.

His fearless attitude, dazzling footwork and dedication brings a spark among the Real Madrid players and fans alike and arguably it was one of the biggest reasons behind Los Blancos’ recent revival.

He also likes to show off glimpses of his audacious touch and control in almost every game and the Levante tie was no different.

In a moment of brilliance, the Brazilian trapped a long ball that was behind him with his right leg in a position that somewhat resembles a rabona.

This moment has once again left the Madridistas awestruck and hopes are high for another stellar performance by the youngster against Barcelona in the back to back El Clasicos this week.

The young Brazilian is certainly still a work in progress but he is showing every sign to possibly be one of the very best in the near future.

Arsenal fans noticed something brilliant on Lacazette’s Insta update after Southampton win

Arsenal cruised to the fourth place of the Premier League table as the brushed aside Southampton 2-0 thanks to first-half strikes from Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

It took only six minutes for Lacazette to open the scoring at the Emirates as he flicked on a Henrikh Mkhitaryan volley to give the Saints’ keeper absolutely no chance.

This was his 11th goal in this year’s competition and fourth straight goal in a home match.

He could have added another one to this tally but he somehow managed to blast an effort up and over the crossbar from inside the six-yard box.

The Frenchman was evidently frustrated by the miss and some stunning piece of defensive blocking and saves from Angus Gunn added to it.

But after the full-time whistle, the former Lyon man showed no signs of discontent and instead did something brilliant (if you are an Arsenal fan).

On his official Instagram page, the striker posted a photo of himself celebrating his goal with teammate Granit Xhaka at the Emirates and tagged the location as ‘my home’.

Have a look at his post here –

Despite expressing his love for the North London side from time to time, there were murmurs of the Frenchman leaving Arsenal in the near future according to reports online but this gesture on social media should fill the fans with much more confidence regarding their beloved striker’s stay at the club

Total lack of respect from Bolton’s goalkeeping coach towards Marcelo Bielsa

Leeds United took another step towards securing the automatic promotion spot with a 2-1 win over Bolton on Saturday.

Leeds now find themselves in the third spot behind Sheffield United in the points table but have a game in hand over the teams currently placed ahead of them.

Patrick Bamford’s penalty took the home side into the lead 16 minutes into the game but Mark Beevers equalised for the visitors barely 6 minutes later.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men were in command for most of the second half and their superiority finally paid off when Remi Matthews misjudged Ezgjan Alioski’s cross in the 68th minute.

After Joe Williams tried to haul Alioski up off the floor when he went down injured after a dirty foul from Josh Magennis, things went south fast and it looked for a moment like a full out brawl was almost about to erupt.

Bolton manager Phil Parkinson squared up to Pontus Jansson during the commotion and was sent to the stands after making an obscure gesture towards the Swedish international.

While both teams will most probably face an enquiry from the FA for the incident, it’s pretty clear that the bad blood between the sides didn’t die down after the full time whistle.

Bolton goalkeeping coach Lee Butler also got himself involved in the situation after mocking Marcelo Bielsa as the veteran manager was returning to the tunnel after exchanging the customary handshake with his counterpart.

The Argentine is one of the most respected managers in the Championship and Butler has been met with major backlash from fans on social media platforms for the gesture.

Arsenal fans loved this from Granit Xhaka during the 92nd minute of BATE win

Arsenal came roaring back from their shock first-leg defeat against Belarusian opposition BATE Borisov to win 3-0 here at the Emirates.

An own goal from Zakhar Volkov followed by strikes from Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the 39th and 60th minute were enough to see the Gunners through to the next round.

A reaction was expected of Unai Emery’s side following the shock 1-0 defeat in the Borisov Arena as they started the match in a very high tempo.

And that earned them the reward as early as the 4th minute as Zakhar Volkom tapped a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cross into his own net.

That gave the North London side immense surge of belief and confidence going forward and what followed was a relentless battering in the BATE defence.

But the Belarusian side defended in numbers and defended well to keep the tie hanging in balance while creating some dangerous looking chances for themselves on the break.

But on the 38th minute, Mustafi thumped a header in the visitor’s goal effectively crushing BATE’s resolve.

The match was finally put to bed when Sokratis, who came in as a substitute for Koscielny, got into the end of another brilliant corner by Xhaka to put the game to bed.

Arsenal fans were obviously pleased with the solid performance, especially after the horror of the first leg.

And in the 92nd minute, Granit Xhaka did something that left them even more delighted.

BATE striker Dubajic went hard on Nacho Monreal which left the Spanish left-back gasping in agony.

Xhaka quickly came forward and confronted the Serb and even went as far as shoving him on the chest.

It required a prompt intervention from Sokratis to prevent the things from getting ugly but the Swiss kept going at it and even argued with the match referee.

He was certainly lucky to get away with this without a booking but the Arsenal fans loved the way he stepped up for his teammate and showed great solidarity.

Mascot absolutely smitten and all over Cristiano Ronaldo before Atletico Madrid clash

The Champions League round of 16 tie between Atletico Madrid and Juventus was not only about two of the biggest clubs going head to head but it was much more than that.

It was also the first time Cristiano Ronaldo visited the Wanda Metropolitano in a different colour than the symbolic white of Real Madrid.

But it did not stop the Atleti fans from going after the Portuguese as they heavily jeered him throughout the match.

He further enraged the home crowd when he apparently gestured the number five to remind the Atleti fans of his stunning track record of his in this competition.

And after the full-time whistle, he once again reminding the same to the media.

On the pitch, the Portuguese looked desperate to make his mark but could not manage to trouble Jan Oblak thanks to some resolute defending by the Spanish side.

Juventus succumbed to a 2-0 defeat as Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez both got themselves on the scoresheet.

The Old Lady will surely need something really special to turn this tie around in Turin and they will be counting on Ronaldo to deliver another masterclass.

But away from this fierce rivalry between these two clubs, a moment has now emerged online that is melting everyone’s heart irrespective of which club they support.

In the footage, taken in the tunnel just before kick off, a child mascot can be seen in utter disbelief and sheer joy as he got the chance to walk out in the stadium with Ronaldo.

The Portuguese also appears to smile back at his young fan as they proceed.

Football fans from all over the world are absolutely loving this moment and it once again might have established the immense charisma of the Portuguese which rises over clubs and rivalries.

(Video) Leeds fan raises a toast at his wedding to the “most important person” in his life… “Marcelo Bielsa”

True passion and fandom were on display at a Yorkshire wedding recently as the groom requested his guests to raise a toast to the ‘most important person’ in his life, the Leeds United Manager Marcelo Bielsa.

The 63-year-old Argentine who has previously led the Argentina and Chilean national team to the world cup finals, took over the vacant managerial spot at Leeds United at the beginning of this season.

The Whites were desperate to get some good results on board following a poor 2017-18 season that saw them finish 13th in the points table.

And as soon as Bielsa took charge things started to change dramatically.

The demanding tactics of the Argentine requires his players to be at their physical and technical best as he prefers his team to win the ball back as soon as it is lost leaving the opponents no room to breath and dominate the possession when they have it.

And for a team that was lingering at 13th position in the last year, executing Bielsa’s style sounded unrealistic but the Argentine has somehow managed to do exactly that.

The results started to get better and after 32 rounds of the Championship football, they managed to sit on the pole position following a 2-1 victory at home against Swansea City giving their fans some serious hope to be in the Premier League next season.

They are currently placed third on the table but have a game in hand over leaders Norwich who are only two points ahead of them.

This stunning turnaround has made the Argentine hugely popular among the Leeds faithful and a dedicated fan could not resist expressing his gratitude even at his own wedding.

Mr Nicole, the groom, expressed how much the fans admire the hard work and dedication of Bielsa and went on to term him ‘the most important person in his life’ in a passionate speech before asking the guests to stand up to raise a toast.

Check out the brilliant moment here –

What Alfredo Morelos did after the full time whistle would have delighted Rangers fans

A rampant Rangers side put five past Kilmarnock as they march through to the quarterfinals of the Scottish Cup.

Alfredo Morelos returned to the first team and scored four goals making it one of his very best performance for the Gers.

The match was poised to be a tight affair as both sides failed to break the deadlock at the Rugby Park prompting the replay.

But it took only 7 minutes for Rangers to break the deadlock at Ibrox as Morelos tapped home a brilliant cross by Daniel Candeias.

And things took a drastic turn for the home side when Kilmarnock’s Daniel Bachmann was told to walk by the match referee Alan Muir.

Steve Clarke was forced to sacrifice an on-field player as Kilmarnock attempted to shut the doors for the opponents.

But Rangers launched wave after waves of attack and Morelos struck again in the towards the end of the first half, this time heading home a Candeias cross from almost inside the six-yard box.

The match went on to be completely one-sided in the second half as substitute Andy Halliday made it 3-0 in the 77th minute.

It was instantly followed by a thunderous strike from Morelos to make it four and in the 83rd minute, the Colombian made it five thanks to a huge defensive letdown by Kilmarnock.

After a stunning performance, the Colombian decided to wrap up the night in style after the final whistle.

The talismanic striker showed off his amazing ball control and juggling skills before signing off the pitch with the match ball.

And of course, Rangers fans couldn’t be any happier to witness the show after what has been a fantastic night for the Gers.
