As we head into Gameweek 11 of the FPL season, managing Liverpool assets has become one of the toughest tasks for fantasy managers. The reigning Premier League champions, under Arne Slot, are plagued by injuries and inconsistent form, turning their premium players into major dilemmas. However, the 2-0 win against Villa and the subsequent convincing victory over Real Madrid last night demonstrate that Liverpool have regained their confidence and rhythm.
With a daunting trip to Manchester City (A) in GW11 followed by one of the best fixture runs in the league now is the crucial time to decide who to buy, sell, or hold.

Who to Avoid
Alisson Becker (£5.4m) & Jeremie Frimpong (£5.8m) Both are suffering from muscle injuries and are avoids. Frimpong, who started the season with 31.6% ownership, has been a disaster with just 7 points. Alisson is also sidelined, making both premium priced players dead weight in your squad.

Alexander Isak (£10.4m) The record breaking £125m signing is confirmed to be out for Gameweek 11 against Man City and is definitely not starting according to Arne Slot. However he has been called up for the Swedish national team and GW 11 is anyways not the best entry point with Liverpool playing at the Etihad. Nevertheless Ekitike has started the last 3 matches out of which Liverpool have won 2, he is also a rotation threat, too expensive to take a gamble on in my opinion.

Mohamed Salah (MID, £14.2m) Salah had a slow start to the season by his standards especially his non penalty xG. However, he has shown signs of a revival, scoring in his last two outings (GW9 and GW10). If you own him, you’ve already endured his slow start. His fixtures from GW12 onwards are excellent. However Salah will travel to AFCON by GW16 and most of us already have Haaland and to get Salah in, it would require a major squad overhaul which does not make it worth it for just 4 gameweeks.
Who to Buy
Cody Gakpo (MID, £7.6m) This is the key man reclassified as a midfielder, Gakpo has been Liverpool’s most consistent FPL asset. His underlying stats (shots, chances created) have been impressive all season. He is the nailed on starter on the left wing and, at £7.7m, offers a fantastic route into the Liverpool attack at a cut price. The only issue that has come up is Florian Wirtz’s performance at LW yesterday.
Florian Wirtz (MID, £8.0m) Here me out. After starting the season in over 34% of teams, Wirtz has been a major disappointment registering 0 goal involvements in the league. Here is where i maybe dumb or too optimistic, Wirtz played at LW against Real Madrid and put on his best performance in a Liverpool shirt, he would have an assist had Courtois not denied Szoboszlai in a 1v1. The talent is there and when Florian gets going, he will become a great asset. This is one for the gamblers.
🤔 This Florian Wirtz performance at LW vs Real Madrid could spell the end for Cody Gakpo as a reliable FPL asset.#FPL #FPLCommunity

Conor Bradley (£5.0m) Speaking of players who performed well against Real Madrid, Conor Bradley has become a good option with Jeremie Frimpong injured he will be nailed on for the fixture run. While Liverpool’s defence is leaky, Bradley has kept two clean sheets in a row and was brilliant defensively last night and managed 7 recoveries, 3 tackles and 2 clearances and won MOTM. A great option from GW12 for those looking at a differential in defence.
🚨 Slot: “Conor Bradley was outstanding. To be up against Vinicius so many times one v one is not for everyone”.

Gameweek 12 marks a significant turning point for our FPL teams. Liverpool’s schedule transforms into one of the most appealing in the league, beginning with Nottingham Forest (H), followed by West Ham (A) and Sunderland (H). This run of fixtures provides the perfect platform for FPL returns and a great time for us to bring in Liverpool assets.
