Twitter Reacts to Anthony Gordon’s Clown Haircut Appearance

Anthony Gordon, EFL Cup, Footballers' Hair, Newcastle United

Newcastle United lost against Manchester City in the first leg of Semi finals of EFL Cup. They now have a mountain to climb in the second leg, with a 2 goal deficit to overcome away from their home. Antoine Semenyo, who took little time to settle at Etihad, scored a brace, helping the Citizens take the stakes. But all of this were overshadowed by one man and his unsightly hairtsyle. When Newcastle United and hairstyle are correlated, obviously, it is that man, the flashy left winger, Anthony Gordon.

Gordon has been having a quiet season so far in the Premier League, netting just 2 goals in 16 games. But the Englishman has been useful in other competitions, coming in handy with goals and assists. He contributed in the third round of the FA Cup and has got 5 goals so far in the Champions League. He is yet to open his account in the EFL Cup and could not do much against City in the semi finals either, one which was much frustrating to see due to his hairstyle.

Gordon has received a lot of criticism and equal attention for his unique hairstyles. His iconic headband laden, free hair, and replications of Princess Diana’s hairstyle have all been specific talk in the town. But during their game against City, Anthony Gordon turned up in an unfamiliar, unappealing hairstyle.

Gordon had partitioned his hair into three sides, with the left and right side left free, uncombed. The central segment of hair had been combed backwards, creating puff in the middle, that resembled a clownish hairstyle.

Fans could not hold the look of it and had focused more on trolling his clown-type hairstyle than his performance.

The hairstyle provided enough content to bring in the famous United Strand‘s commitment to not have a haircut until United win 5 games in a row.

Much to fans’ delight, Gordon was spotted at the barbers sorting his hair out.

Anthony Gordon is a pricey player and has proved why is rated high among the upcoming young generation of English talents. But he has to shift his focus more on improving his game than rearranging his hair for the sake of standing out of the mob.
