Como 1907 have no doubt been the absolute talk of the town when it comes to this year’s Serie A.
Como’s rise to the top has been historic as the club which was relegated to the Serie B managed to finally achieve promotion back to the Italian top flight in the 2023/24 season.
Their first season back in 24/25 saw them finish 10th in the table.
Como strengthened themselves in the summer with signings like teenage star Nico Paz on loan from real madrid, Alvaro Morata on a loan with obligation to buy from AC Milan and Maxence Caqueret from Lyon.
The club is currently in the middle of an incredible season as they find themselves sitting at the 4th position.
Performing under the guidance of manager Cesc Fabregas, Como have recorded 15 wins and 9 draws in 29 games.
Como are also preparing to take on Inter Milan in the second leg of the semi final of the Italian Cup on 22nd April.
The Italian Club found themselves in the news again as they debuted a new pre match sweatshirt before their match against AS Roma.
The sweatshirt featured white pinstripes running across a blue background. There were no names and just large numbering on the backs. It also featured a large COMO print on the front.
The outfit is just one of the pieces from the collection Como have designed in collaboration with Creative director Rhuigi VillaSeñor.

The Match ended 2-1 in Como’s favour.
A goal by Donyell Malen in the 7th minute was cancelled out by forward Anastasios Douvikas in the 59th minute. Como then proceeded to take the lead through a goal from Centre back Diego Carlos in the 79th minute to complete the comeback.
The retro sweatshirt was released in collaboration in Adidas and received praise from fans all over social media.

The jersey has been designed as an inspiration from Como’s longest winning streak in the 1980’s.
Como’s longest win streak record spans 9 wins in 1985/86. These were the Jerseys that defined that period and acted as an inspiration for these sweatshirts.

It is almost poetic that 1986 was the same season where Como defied the odds to reach the semi finals of the Coppa Italia but failed to cross the line against then defending champions Sampdoria.
With a date with destiny against Inter awaiting, this might be Como’s finest chance to rewrite history and win the trophy.
It is no secret that the football world awaits italian football’s return to the top. With Como likely to make next year’s Champions league, it might just be a step in the right direction.
