Manuel Neuer suffered one of the biggest humiliations of his career when PSG snuck 5 goals past him in the first leg of the UCL semi finals on Tuesday.
What was perhaps even worse for the veteran goalie was that he didn’t save a single Bayern shot as his team lost 5-4.
The 40-year-old had his net raided by 5 times in a 34-minute period as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Joao Neves and Ousmane Dembele put up a ball-striking clinic at Parc Des Princes.
Fortunately for the World Cup winner, the Bayern attack also intruded the PSG net heavily with Harry Kane, Olise, Upamecano and Luis Diaz getting on the scoresheet.
One would have thought that leaking goals would be the biggest headache Neuer would face on the night but a PSG ballboy had a different idea.
During a moment in the match, a ball boy refused to give the ball to Manuel Neuer so he wouldn’t start the game quickly, giving PSG time to compose themselves.
Neuer wasn’t impressed one bit and dished out a sarcastic thumbs up to the indisciplined youngster, most likely to be a PSG academy student.

But the Bayern stopper didn’t go and complain to the referee or pick a fight with the kid.
As soon as he came in possession of a loose ball, he handed it over to the Bayern social media admin who was sat pitchside, telling her to give it back to him when he wanted to play quickly.

A PSG ballboy being a nuisance is nothing new this season as one of them came into spotlight during Chelsea’s 5-2 Champions League loss to PSG back in March.
Pedro Neto had to issue an apology post-match for shoving a ballboy over the advertisement board after being denied the ball in stoppage time.
It’s certainly not a good look for the Parisian side who don’t need to resort to such dark arts considering the all-around quality of their squad.
Football fans were furious at the ballboy’s antics against Neuer –
The latest disgusting trend, the « ball boys » who think they’re players in the game and come pollute a match and try to influence it. First recent episode in the CAF final, with assaults by ball boys on the Senegalese goalkeeper(s), the « towel gate ». where during #BOSITA a « ball boy » stealing Donnarumma’s bottle containing the penalty-taker info… or others by refusing or delaying to give the ball to a player in the game. You’re not part of the game, kids!
So why the hell does the ball boy have to get involved in the match? Just ban him for life, right?
Honestly, I really hate ballboy models like this. They haven’t accomplished anything yet, but they’re already normalizing unsportsmanlike behavior (whether instructed or on their own initiative) and also showing no respect for pro players or even legends like Neuer.
I don’t understand this, you’re 15 years old and you have a myth in front of you. Why?
This is a scourge that’s becoming more and more common in football. We’re going to have to find solutions because the kids often cross certain lines, like here. I think in the PL they place the balls more and more on the edge of the pitch.
Again, there should be laws and sanctions stopping ball boys from being assholes in this way. Football is already too emotional enough to be dealing with this nonsense.
If even the ball boys no longer have any respect for the players.. Put kids who love football, not morons like that one who has no business being on a stadium
Can’t they just stay in their place after a while, these insolent little brats? They’ve already got a huge stroke of luck being ball boys for a Champions League semifinal, so just stick to kicking the ball back when it’s needed, you little shit.
He’s not about to come back as a ball boy, that one! What a lack of respect for his sport, for Neuer, and for Bayern.
