The design of Nike’s unreleased boots, especially featuring Mbappè’s professional achievements, was leaked by a specialized football boot and kit platform, Footy Headlines. They shared the design from Nike’s internal production line.
The boots feature a Baltic Blue, white, soft pink, and neon lime color palette. An intricate constellation-style graphic runs across the upper that directly documents the key milestones of his rise to global football stardom. The constellation graphic maps out his entire footballing journey from his childhood roots to Real Madrid.
Markings on the upper include :
“B-93” for his hometown of Bondy and Seine-Saint-Denis
“KM-98” honors his birth year,
and “ASB 04” marks his first youth club, AS Bondy.
The design then symbolises “INF” for Clairefontaine and “M-2013” for his breakthrough at AS Monaco, before finishing with “RM-24” to commemorate his biggest breakthrough in his career, the 2024 transfer to Real Madrid.

Additionally, the boots also contain a soft pastel pink knit tongue/collar. Along the medial flank, his surname can be seen. Underfoot, a semi-translucent soleplate transitions into a vibrant neon lime cage with the Air Zoom technology in focus.

Kylian Mbappé sent an internet frenzy all over following his departure from Nike to On. Most recently, in promotional footage and gameplay for EA Sports FC 27, Mbappè was seen wearing On football boots. In the game clip, he is seen wearing a clean, white prototype cleat featuring On’s signature logo boldly displayed across the upper.

The boots codenamed “Tango” by On’s innovation team released the internal prototype soleplates and structural digital renders under development filenames. First looks from the On Labs feature all-white, seamless prototype boots fitted with aggressive stud layouts. The boots have a smooth laceless design that conforms to the shape of the foot, with an extremely thin upper layer fused to a lightweight soleplate. Many of the prototypes show noticeable pitch marks and signs of wear from the initial testing on fields.

The boots are built with On’s LightSpray manufacturing technology, which was originally initiated on the brand’s running shoes, now being developed for football boots alongside Mbappè and the newly appointed Director of Football, Thierry Henry.

The LightSpray technique uses a robotic arm to spray a continuous thermoplastic filament directly onto a prototype in just three minutes, instead of traditional cutting, stitching and gluing. This creates a seamless, ultra-light finish for the upper. Hence the boots would provide a barefoot like sensation.
