All Juventus Pink Kits Through the Years After 26/27 Away Kit Release

Adidas, Football Kits, Juventus, Kappa, Nike

Juventus is well-known for wearing pink away jerseys. With the release of the new away kit for the 2026/27 season, they reintroduced the iconic pink color.

Juventus’ history with pink jerseys dates back to its founding in 1897, leaving a legacy of bold fashion statements that seamlessly blend sporting heritage and lifestyle culture.

In 1897, a group of teenage students founded Juventus with little money. Because they needed cheap uniforms, they purchased simple pink fabric from local markets and paired it with a black tie to look smart.

But Juventus started using the colour pink as a serous choice for their kits from the 1987-1988 season, when Kappa commemorated the club’s 90th anniversary with a pale baby-pink jersey featuring an oversized white polo collar worn by legends such as Ian Rush, despite the team finishing sixth in Serie A.

Ten years later, Kappa released the iconic 1997-1998 centenary kit, a vibrant pink masterpiece separated by a thick black-and-white horizontal band. This iconic shirt, worn by Zinedine Zidane and Alessandro Del Piero, accompanied Juventus’ triumphant season, which included winning the Serie A Scudetto and reaching the UEFA Champions League Final.

Nike introduced a unique salmon-pink base with fine black side accents for the 2003-2004 season, which saw Pavel Nedvěd win the Ballon d’Or and the team secure the Supercoppa Italiana before finishing third in the league. Along with Alessandro Del Piero.

The modern era brought even bolder interpretations of the color, starting with Nike’s radioactive 2011–2012 bubblegum-pink away kit, which flaunted a massive, aggressive black star outline wrapping around the torso. This loud design became synonymous with Antonio Conte‘s “Invincibles” squad, including Andrea Pirlo, who went completely undefeated to lift the Scudetto.

For the 2012-2013 season, Nike kept the neon color but replaced the giant star with a solid black block to frame the Jeep sponsor, securing their domestic crown with another league championship.

Adidas took over in 2015-2016, releasing a pastel-pink kit with a smart white-and-pink center strip that became a global pop-culture sensation. On the pitch, Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala wore it to power through a dramatic comeback season and win the domestic double.

This exact design was later reimagined for the 2020-2021 season as a highly artistic collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ Humanrace brand, with a bleeding, hand-painted aesthetic and blurred logos. While Cristiano Ronaldo led the team to success in the Coppa Italia, their nine-year Scudetto streak came to an end.

Even when pink was not the dominant color, it was frequently used as a standout accent on Juventus uniforms. During the 2019-2020 season, adidas replaced the club’s classic stripes with a half-and-half block layout, dividing the black and white halves down the center with a single neon-pink vertical stripe that Maurizio Sarri’s team wore to win another Serie A title.

Years before, Lotto designed a memorable 2002-2003 goalkeeper shirt with vibrant pink sleeves framing a grey body, which was exclusively worn by Gianluigi Buffon as he won the league and delivered a masterclass in the Champions League Final.

More recently, the 2025-2026 home jersey returned to traditional stripes but was electrified by painting the club crest, adidas logo, and shoulder stripes in hot pink, guiding Thiago Motta’s rebuilding squad back to top-tier Champions League play.

Finally, the recently released 2026-2027 away kit brings the evolution full circle. The vintage pale-pink base features an engineered zebra pattern and the iconic adidas Trefoil heritage logo.
