Paris Saint-Germain fans at Parc des Princes resorted to booing and whistling as Kylian Mbappe’s name was read aloud during the lineup announcement before the 4-2 win against Strasbourg.
With his current contract set to expire at the end of next season, the prolific French star is yet to commit to an extension at the Parisien club amid rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old wanted to see how ambitious PSG were before signing a new deal.
With the signing of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gini Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and Gigi Donnarumma, the club has granted his wishes of a competitive squad.
Despite these huge arrivals at the club, a breakthrough has not been found and the fans made sure to let their feelings known last night.
