Recently, very strong rumours emerged online which suggested that Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco could be playing for Arsenal this season.

Word around the campfire is that Carrasco, who is currently playing in the Chinese Super League, has agreed to the move and RMC football reporter Sacha Tavolieri revealed that the deal was close to completion.

Gunners need to take stock of their armoury

Arsenal fans will not be too happy with their team’s performance last season. They managed to come fifth in the Premier League, thus resigning themselves to another season playing in the Europa League.

They also lost to Chelsea in this year’s Europa Cup finals, leaving fans desperate for silverware and glory.

Unai Emery will be tasked with building a solid squad. Rumors suggest that Arsenal are looking for a centre back, a midfielder and a winger forward (Football.London). He would want to cement the glaring cracks in his squad to the best of his abilities.

Emery will be desperate to find a quality signing with experience at his disposal. And Yannick Carrasco seems to be the perfect match.

Journo for France based RMC Sport, Sacha Tavolieri reported that Carrasco’s agent had been pushing for the deal to come through. He suggested that the deal was going well, with the purported fee being in the neighborhood of €25 million.
