Kylian Mbappe displayed a glimpse of his intense athleticism as he ate up the yards to get to a through ball which appeared to be a lost cause.
The moment occurred in the second half of France’s win against Germany at the Allianz Arena as the PSG striker found himself in a sprint duel with Mats Hummels to chase down a pass from Karim Benzema.
The 22-year-old had to deal with the disadvantage of being at least 2 meters behind the veteran defender when the pass was made, but he made up the yards with ease as he launched into a devastating run.
Though, it’s a credit to the Dortmund centre-back that he still overcame the run from Mbappe, eventually, and stole the ball with a brilliant recovery challenge.
