Luka Jovic is one of the hottest strikers in the world right now. Spearheading Eintracht Frankfurt's attack with the likes of Sebastien Haller and Ante Rebic, the Serbian has really taken the Bundesliga by storm this season. Valued at about 50 million pounds in today's market, the free-scoring Serb seems to be a viable option for clubs looking to bolster their attack for the upcoming season. Catching the eye of big clubs this season for his consistent performances and goal-scoring heroics, Jovic really stamped his authority after becoming the youngest player in the Bundesliga to score 5 goals in a game, as Frankfurt destroyed Dusseldorf 7-1. Clubs sharpened their senses in a bid to lure Jovic away from Frankfurt. The primary candidates at the time were Barcelona and Bayern Munich; but now Real Madrid also seem interested. The latest addition to that list appears to be Chelsea. With the quarter-final second legs coming to a close and Chelsea, Frankfurt, Valencia and Arsenal progressing, one of the semi-finals will see Chelsea face Frankfurt. And given Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri's comments on the young Serb, there's a good chance that the speculation will be much more stronger than before. Sarri mentioned in his post match presser that he considers Jovic a "wonderful striker". Chelsea have been hit with a two window transfer ban, which doesn't help with the desire to sign Jovic. With no outcome yet on Chelsea's appeal to the ban, things are on a knife-edge. If indeed the ban is lifted and the board back Chelsea's potential bid for player admired by Sarri, it would certainly be a joy to have Jovic in England! Jovic has scored 25 goals and assisted 7 times in all competitions this season, which is remarkable for a 21 year-old. If the stars do align for Chelsea, we could be looking at something special on the Blue side of London.
