Fans Left Speechless by Dominic Calvert-Lewin Lookalike Steward at Villa Park

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a rough time on his visit to Villa Park as he not only saw his side thrashed to a 3-0 loss to Aston Villa, but also ended up suffering a nasty concussion that forced him to go off. Fans, however, noticed a crazy lookalike at the stadium amid his dismay.

The 26-year-old has had the worst luck with injuries over the last few seasons that that has totally stopped his progression as a forward with a lot of potential.

Calvert-Lewin has suffered some really bad injuries over the last two seasons, missing as many as 49 games in that period due to his problems.

The Englishman got his first start of the season in Everton’s game against Aston Villa in their first away game of the 2023/24 Premier League season, but as bad luck would have it, he picked up another injury.

The 26-year-old collided with Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez in the first half after trying to contest a header when the Argentine clattered him with a blow to the face.

What happened to Calvert-Lewin in Aston Villa clash?

To his credit, Calvert-Lewin actually decided to tough it out even after being left with a sizeable scar on his face, that seemed to be swollen after the challenge.

Despite playing on with that issue for a bit, the Englishman was ultimately convinced to be taken off by Sean Dyche – so that the medical staff could treat his injury.

Unfortunately for the Englishman, he received some audible boos from the travelling Everton supporters during his substitution and could not do much but give them a thumbs up.

In his defence, his injury against Villa is nothing he forced and just a case of really bad luck – but it doesn’t help his case of being mocked as an injury-prone player among the fans.

Calvert-Lewin went down the tunnel to the dressing room after his substitution, but some fans discovered something truly crazy after that.

Some Everton fans, probably the same ones who booed him, were able to notice a steward standing on the pitch around the away stand section that looked absolutely spot on like Calvert-Lewin.

Fans stunned by seeing Calvert-Lewin doppelganger

The steward, wearing a white shirt and a designated steward’s jacket on top of it, seems to have been an insane doppelganger of the English forward.

One fan managed to take a short video of the entire incident, zooming in to show the face of the steward that looked a near carbon-copy of Calvert-Lewin and with a similar long hairstyle as well.

The fan hilariously captioned the video with: “Calvert-Lewin going off injured once again and coming back disguised to see if we’re slating him”.

Of course, despite the theories from the supporter, Calvert-Lewin did not come back dressed as a steward after his substitution because he needed immediate medical treatment after the nasty facial injury.

The steward, for one, does not have a swollen face like the Englishman after he collided with the Villa goalkeeper in the game. However, fans are absolutely stunned by just how similar this random steward looks to Calvert-Lewin and seems to be almost a carbon copy of him.

The Everton forward probably did not get to meet his doppelganger either because of the treatment he had to receive, but fans were quick to spot just how close these two eerily-similar looking men were to each other at Villa Park at the weekend.

Calvert-Lewin, however, will be more focused on recovering quickly from his injury and getting rid of the ‘injury-prone’ tag this season. The 26-year-old will look to prove his doubters wrong by rediscovering his goal-scoring spark in this campaign and find his inner goal-machine than seek out his potential lookalike anytime soon.
